What is the meaning of the Ruby? A high energy healing stone in deep red, the ruby has been associated with passion and prosperity for centuries. Long being thought to hold the power of life, the name is derived from ancient Sanskrit meaning 'King of Precious' stones, and is also associated with beauty and wisdom.
What is the history of the Ruby? Through the ages, ruby has been considered to be a gem of nobility, credited with engendering sensuality and vitality.
What is the provenance/traceability of the Ruby? Our rubies are sourced from Myanmar and cut at a facility in Thailand. Our supplier's US facility runs almost entirely on solar power and it has a Verified Vendors Program to ensure the suppliers it sources from meet workplace and environmental standards. We are currently working with our supplier to understand this supply chain in greater detail to ensure we are making the most ethical sourcing choice for these stones.
