What is the meaning of the Sapphire? The brilliant blue sapphire imbues its wearer with hope and healing and boosts creative expression.
What is the history of Sapphire? Sapphires have been long associated with royalty and romance. In ancient Greece and Rome, many were convinced that owning blue sapphires would protect you from harm and envy while during the Middle Ages, the clergy wore blue sapphires to symbolise heaven. The sapphire symbolises nobility, truth, loyalty, clarity and trust.
What is the provenance/traceability of the Sapphire? We source our large blue and green sapphires directly from a small mine in Queensland, Australia. The stones are cut at a facility in Thailand before they make their way to our workshop.
These stones are fully traceable and fairly traded right back to the mine, and our supplier is able to have a significant positive impact on the mining.
We have traced our smaller sapphires back to their country of origin, and our suppliers have systems in place to ensure these gemstones are cut in facilities that meet its employment and health standards.
